Our Mission
To be the University of Melbourne's central hub for everyone interested in the German-speaking world bringing together students and the wider community who share a connection to German language, culture, and ideas.
We aim to create a welcoming environment where people can grow in confidence with German at any level, supported by a community that values curiosity, respect, and genuine engagement.
We also seek to broaden what “German interest” can mean: alongside language and culture, we promote awareness of the German-speaking world's global influence across business, engineering, science, and industry creating opportunities for members to connect with the German-Australian ecosystem through networking, institutional partnerships, and diplomatic engagement.
